Mission Statement

Menla is a Tibetan word meaning health or
contemplative healing. Its roots are in Indian and Tibetan wisdom and their insight into the nature of sickness and health. This starts with the realization that all beings are naturally healthy and possess the ability to heal themselves. Health is a fundamental truth, however it is often covered or overshadowed by sickness and trauma.  The blue Menla Buddha, or Medicine Buddha, is the embodiment of our innate ability to live full healthy lives.

Bringing together some of the best teachers and practitioners in the Eldorado area, the mission of the Menla Center for Yoga and the Healin
g Arts is to reconnect us with that truth by promoting physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and well-being through a variety of healing modalities designed to lead to life-affirming changes.

Our offerings include, but are not limited to: Yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong, Meditation, body work, psychotherapy, support groups, nutritional counseling and informational workshops.  We believe that true health should not be limited solely to those who have the financial and sociological advantages to afford them. We work to provide outreach to underserved communities and our services are made available on a limited scholarship basis to ensure that we serve the broadest possible population.
